We acknowledge we are operating on the occupied land of the Ute, Arapahoe, and Cheyenne peoples colonized as Denver - we pay our respects to those past, present, and future. We also acknowledge this statement is not enough and are committed to giving a portion of our proceeds to the people whose land we occupy and are in the process of getting a true land reverence.

Kelly:

Hello, beautiful humans. Oh, my gosh, I'm so excited. Today is Self Care Monday, and we are going to talk about doing a Y exercise. So one of the solo podcasts that are recorded was off of pulling the Magician Card. We're going through this podcast period in our lives, and before we really invest all of this time and energy, I think I need to pull my Y Magician Card told me too, so that's what we're doing. And I found this exercise actually on TikTok, like, forever ago. Never really did it, and it's been sitting in my saved things forever. And I decided, hey, I'm going to do it and see can't be the end of the world, right? And super easy. It really, really is. So I want you guys to grab your journals, grab a piece of paper, jot it in on your phone. I really do, though, suggest, if you can, putting pen to paper. It's so much more impactful if you could do it that way. But I get it. If you want to do your phone, do your phone. And at the top, just put Y and then the very top of the paper, I want you to say, why is it important for or what is my why? I want this because something to kind of like, really get you to figure out what is that one thing that you want so much, right? Like, what do I desperately want in my life? And then leave a space below so you can write the answer. And then number of the paper from one to seven going down, leaving just a few spaces between each of the lines on the paper. So for the first one, I definitely wanted to know, why am I doing this podcast? Right? I felt like that was kind of the whole topic for the Magician Card was because of the podcast, I need to know why I'm doing it. Like, why am I really spending this energy on it? Because I want to make sure I'm not investing in things that aren't truly aligned with me anymore. Because I feel like I've wasted so much time not really knowing what I actually want and just doing things because I was going through the motions or because I thought I was supposed to or whatever. And so I want to know, why am I doing this podcast? And so I wrote, why is it important for you to start this podcast? I answered, because I want to impact the world positively first prompt is why? Because for so long I have felt emotionally lonely and because of that have lived in a lot of internal pain and I don't want others to feel like that or ever have to live life like that. Number two, why? Because I know that pain and I want to help others on a large scale that are struggling as well. Three, why? Every time I was depressed it has shown me purpose in my life is needed and helping others was always the forefront for why? Because through my experiences, I know my pain is not alone and sometimes you just need someone to help you and having that friend or mentor could change everything. Number five, why? Because all I need is to feel loved, safety and security. Six, why? Because that was something that was lacking several reasons, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. But basically number seven ended in because love is the answer. And then I did the other exercise when I pulled the car trying to find my why, money, finances, that type of thing was calling to me. So I had to do one with, okay, why does your girl want to be rich? So my question was why do I want to be rich? And my wife basically turned into so I can live financially free, so I don't have to stress about money, so I can live my dreams of abundance, so I can not only take care of myself but also my family because I love them and because love is the answer. So it was just so crazy. I don't know why it ended up that way, but it really did. But having my why come from love, that's like the best thing ever. What a way to guide the rest of my purpose and my path if I know that I'm doing it from this space, that is going to be fulfilling and that is going to be how I give back and I'm contributing to the world. I'm probably going to do a little TikTok video on how to do it so you can see it because I know I'm a visual person. I really like to see things. So you can go to our Tik tok follow it. We're going to be trying to post some cute content, but a girl needs some help. So if you want to help in any capacity, please let me know. Social media is scary. We can probably talk about that in a whole episode because I don't know about you all, but it really freaks me out. I know Kenny is not the biggest fan of it either, but we are going to push ourselves and do things that are going to help get our message spread. Because we want to create community. We want to give a nurturing place for all and that's what it's all about. It's that connection, right? So I hope you guys enjoyed self love Monday. It was my very first solo one, so they'll only get better from here. I miss you, Kenny. I can't wait to see you and follow up next week. And I love you guys. Thanks so much for listening.
